Use of web beacons

When we are sending emails, we sometimes include a web beacon as it allows us to keep a track of the number of people who have opened our emails. When you click on a link in any email, we can record the individual response as it helps us in customizing the services and offerings that we provide to you. Web beacons collect limited amount of information for instance the cookie identifier, the time and date when the page is viewed and a little description of the page in which the beacon resides which is the URL.

The beacons can be refused when they are sent vial email. If you wish to do so, you will have to disable HTML images or you can select text only in the emails.
